By using this website, buying from our store or sending us a submission, you agree to these terms. Nice Kitty Media is an independent publisher based in [city, state] and a sister company of Nice Kitty Films.

Our content

All text, cover art, illustrations, logos and other material on this site belong to Nice Kitty Media or our authors and illustrators. You may share links and short quotes with credit, but you may not copy, sell or reuse our content without written permission.

Buying books

Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. We do our best to show every book accurately; if we make a pricing error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full. Shipping, returns and refunds are covered in our Shipping & Returns policy.

Submissions

  • You keep your rights. Sending us a manuscript or screenplay does not transfer any rights to Nice Kitty Media. You own your work unless and until we both sign a publishing or option agreement.

  • Your work must be yours. By submitting, you confirm the work is original, that you own it or have permission to submit it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

  • Fees. Submission fees are $1 for manuscripts and $25 for screenplays. Optional coverage and notes are $99. Fees cover the cost of reading and are non-refundable, including when a submission is declined. If coverage is purchased and we cannot deliver it, we will refund the coverage fee.

  • Replies. We aim to reply to every submission within [eight weeks]. A reply is not a guarantee of an offer, and an offer only becomes binding once a written agreement is signed.

  • Similar ideas. We receive many submissions and develop our own projects. Ideas, themes and premises often overlap; we may publish or produce work similar to yours that was created independently, and receiving your submission does not limit that.

  • Confidentiality. We keep submissions confidential, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

Orders, payments and submissions run on Squarespace, Stripe, PayPal and Jotform. Their terms also apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for outages or errors on their side.

Limits of liability

The site is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, Nice Kitty Media is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [state], USA.
